- Performance -

We will be putting together a recital video for free. You can host and film your own performance with family.

1. Practice your routine. Practice videos are available on the portal under the "files" tab and can be used for home performances. How to Access Practice Material
2. Prepare by planning a day/time for the home performance (before May 30). Make sure you have enough memory on your phone and that it is charged. Some costumes included a birthday/incentive gifts. This is not part of the costume. Hairstyle & Makeup: Ballet classes, please wear a bun. Otherwise, it's your choice.
3. Have fun! Record the video in landscape format. Then send the video of your performance to [email protected]. Dont worry about audio quality. Here is a link How to send performance video.

Once we get started editing the recital we will set an official date for its release. The sooner the videos are sent in, the faster the virtual performance will be available. Please send in your videos by May 30.

- Dance Team -

Dance Talent Competition in Billings, MT is postponed until further notice.

Please take two pictures in your costume with the evidence bag (1 headshot, 1 dance pose). Make a personality for your character and try to portray that tgrough the photos. I will be texting you speaking oarts soon. You can do these filmed in your costume or just as an audio recording; either will work.

Competition costumes will be available June 1. If you want them at this time let us know. The remaining balance for this costume is $20, which will be charged before pickup. We did the vinyl lettering because Universal Athletic would not. There were some mistakes, so we discounted the costume. The costume total of $45 is the discounted price.

We will continue virtual classes for Dance Team to prepare for the competition (excluding May 20). Solos will be practiced 15 min after each class. The name of soloist is listed after the day they will be practicing. All practices will be from 1-2pm and 2-2:15 for soloist. Please send us a video of your solo, in your character costume, for the virtual recital.

- Virtual Dance Classes -

We will be holding online dance classes to make up for March's cancelled lessons. We've already held a few Zoom classes.. Here are the dates for the remaining virtual classes:

Ages 3-7 (May 14 at 1-1:40 pm)
Ages 8 and up (May 11 at 1-2 pm)
SMIlE (can attend either age group & May 12 at 1-2 pm)
Dance Team (May 13 at 1-2 pm)

*If you are 7 or have a sibling in a higher class you may join the older class if preferable. Please watch this video before attending if you don't know how to use Zoom..


- Costumes -

Costumes are $45 total per costume. Part of this cost has already been paid with the nonrefundable costume deposit. On May 11, your account will be charged $20/costume. Costume pickup is Friday, May 15 (specified times below). We will bring your costume out to you, so please wait in your car. We are practicing social distancing for everyone's safety. PreDance/Genre classes have "Listening Stars" which each student will have opportunity to earn certificate, in lieu of Plank Posse/Splits Club party. All your children are good listeners and would have achieved this award by the end of the year. We will have your certificate and a treat ready with your costume pickup.

The girls have worked very hard and collectively have each earned, through their focus and dedication, an optional solo which can be found under "files" on their account. If you want to purchase a solo costume, they are about $30. You can also pick your own appropriate solo outfit/costume. Dance Design Studio defines appropriate as midriff covered (like one piece swimsuit or more).
